About Julie Gause

Enjoying the company

I’m Julie Gause, founder and chief worker bee of J. Gause Digital. Let’s use my experience to develop winning strategies for your digital business and website.

I spent more than a decade helping some of cable’s biggest brands find success online by attracting new customers (audience) via site structure changes, content development, metadata expansion, search engine optimization (SEO), paid search marketing (PPC) and social media strategies. Recommendations and changes were based on competitive analysis, audience identification, trending topics, and keyword research. I now offer my expertise to other businesses on how to build and optimize a website to attract visitors and fill their needs. Allow me to use my experience to give your business an advantage over the competition.

I began my long history with Scripps Networks Interactive (now Discovery, Inc.) as an editorial assistant for HGTV.com. Since then, I have shown versatility in positions covering most content development areas for the company’s digital properties. You’ll find some highlights below:

My passions in life are dogs, running, live music and travel. Outside of work, my time is spent with my husband and our 4-legged kid Ruby, exploring the beauty of East Tennessee. I also work with two charity boards: For 11 years, I’ve worked with the charity Humans and Animals Learning Together (H.A.L.T.), where I now serve as VP of the board and as chair of the dog adoption committee. I’ve recently joined the Knox County Board of Trustees for Girls, Inc. of the Tennessee Valley. I prioritize the pursuit of good health through running, having completed 10 half marathons and counting! When not on the road or holding the end of a leash, you’ll find me at one of the many music venues in town.
